Albina describes herself as a girl of the new generation and a change agent of her Muslim community. Currently, she is associated with a locally established social organization named Babiya Young Women Organization as a Secretary. The organization is supported by Plan International Nepal and its implementing partner is SEBAC –Nepal.
Her organization is working in awareness and girl empowerment, lobbying and advocating with government agencies to establish their basic rights for proper health, nutrition, and other basic needs.
She says, “As a secretary of my organization, I have been educating, training and strengthening the adolescent girls and young women, people with disability and minority category people about social and domestic violence, child trafficking and early marriage and about the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women of Muslim religion towards prosperous and better future to be the active and responsible citizens. Personally, I am establishing my organization as one of the best social organization to deal with any kind of issues of children and women of my society and region.”
She feels that the courage to be in a social organization despite threats and terror for just belonging to Muslim community and being able to bring changes to her society is what makes her happy and satisfied.
