She is the founder of Kausi Kheti, a rooftop farming initiative transforming urban agriculture in Nepal. A graduate of Women LEAD Nepal’s year-long leadership course, Renuka has also contributed to national programs like OWN IT and Women of the World, leading grassroots outreach and leadership workshops in underserved regions like Sarlahi and Gorkha.
She is working to expand Kausi Kheti into a platform that empowers women through rooftop and small-scale dragon fruit farming. She provides women with the resources they need for plants, training, and a buy-back guarantee to help them generate income from their own spaces. Her work focuses on bridging gaps between urban living and sustainable agriculture, and between women and economic independence, creating practical opportunities for women to earn with dignity and build self-reliant futures.
