Prashansha KC is a social activist who is working against the “Child marriage”. “Kidnap marriage” and “Women Empowerment”.Prashansha was titled as the Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero – Nepal in the year 2018.  She has done research on “Child marriage and Kidnap marriage” in communities of Rukum district to get a depth understanding of issues. She also conducted awareness campaigns to educate people and created a good environment for future generations to grow and develop. Her work has been highlighted in radio stations like “Unique FM” and “SanoBheri” Radio where she discussed the “Child and Kidnap marriage” in order to provide awareness. Miss KC is also an enthusiastic filmmaker and YouTuber who films documentaries related to social problems with a purpose to educate, aware and inspire youths. She is also a recipient of “Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Award 2019” and Global Ambassador of Happy World Foundation Inc. She also teaches self-defense techniques to girls to protect themselves against sexual abuse. She has formed local representatives and youth clubs who work towards providing safe spaces for victims and resources to connect them to legal authorities to investigate abuse. Recently, she is studying Civil Engineering and was involved with UNICEF as a youth advocate.
