Ritu Gharti is a passionate social worker with over five years of experience in girls’ empowerment, child rights, and climate action. Known for her confident communication and teamwork skills, she actively contributes to organizations like JCYCN and District Child Network Nawalpur.

She has been actively engaged in social work for over five years, beginning in grade 8 with awareness sessions on nutrition, menstruation, and homemade sanitary pads. Currently, she works as a peer educator in a girls’ empowerment program, helping herself and other girls in her community build confidence and knowledge. She serves as the Joint Secretary of the District Child Network, where she contributes to child rights advocacy and leadership development. Additionally, she is a member of PPDC-2025 and the President of Madhyabindu Youth Network. Motivated by the positive changes she sees in her community, Ritu is dedicated to raising awareness and inspiring other young people to support meaningful causes.

Her efforts have increased girls’ knowledge on health, safety, and self-protection, boosting their confidence and inspiring them to pursue leadership. Through environmental activities like clean-ups and tree planting, she has promoted community care and encouraged youth participation in social work, creating greater awareness and empowerment.

Ritu Gharti has been selected as a “Glocal’s 20under20 of 2025 Batch” as an early change-maker throughout the nation. Glocal’s 20 under 20 is an umbrella title for 20 early change-makers, who are teenagers from diverse fields, stepping out to create an impact in the society.
