Mr. Safal Poudel, is a driven innovator passionate about using artificial intelligence to address challenges in healthcare and education. A 2024 graduate of Kalika Manavgyan Secondary School, he works as a web developer at the Institute for Rural Development (IRD), builds tools for NPLCoder to empower Nepali students in programming, and develops AI-driven solutions like PlantMD and Medforce AI.
Mr. Safal contributes to IRD by developing digital platforms to enhance community outreach and resource access for sustainable rural development. At NPLCoder, he builds web-based tools, including certificate automation systems, and supports initiatives like the Nepal Olympiad in Informatics to foster programming talent. Through Incubate Nepal, he develops PlantMD, an AI-powered web app that detects crop diseases from leaf photos, reducing yield losses for farmers. As an AI and frontend developer at Medforce AI, he works on a drug safety analysis platform that uses FDA data to provide doctors with clinical recommendations, currently under validation by EASL.

Mr. Safal’s work has empowered over 2,000 students in Syangja, Palpa, and Arghakhanchi through ICT Club and Kalokalam, introducing computer literacy to underserved schools.
