An Award Night To Recognize Teenager’s Initiation.

Glocal Teen Hero (GTH) is an initiation of Glocal Khabar (a concern of Glocal Pvt. Ltd.) to bring out the fantastic teenagers together. It is an award night dedicated to all the passionate teenagers to recognizes their initiation, creativity, achievements, and enthusiasm that they have been doing to create a positive impact on the society besides academics. It is a fully-funded program exclusively for teenagers which helps to develop personally and professionally through a pool of opportunities and networking’s.

Every year 1st September is marked as a grand day of Glocal Teen Hero Nepal. The first-ever national program i.e. designed to recognize dedicated, passionate, and innovative teenagers from the nation. The event brings teenagers together to celebrate their spirit and value their worth.

The fifth edition of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Nepal, 2019 embarked with the warm welcome to all the invitees and guest. To celebrate the teenager’s commencement nationally there was a presence of renowned personality from different organizations with different media.

Ms. Rupsi Parajuli, Host of the event officially started the event with the National Anthem. Later, followed with the welcome speech by Ms. Sushila Shrestha (Operations Manager of Glocal Pvt. Ltd).

Next, the documentary of Ms. Prashansha K.C (Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero of 2018) was played in the event to share her amazing work and contribution towards society.

In recognizing the 20 early change-makers from the nation Mr. Abdullah Tuncer Kececi (General Manager of Turkish Airlines) and Ms. Ranju Magar (Project Assistant of Glocal Teen Hero Project) certified the Glocal’s 20under20 of 2019.

Hosting the event Ms. Rupsi Parajuli introduced the Top Six Finalist of 2019 and later certified by Dr. Ajay Kumar (DCM of Embassy India) and Mr. Ajay Pandey (IT Manager of Glocal Pvt. Ltd).

Next, the official song of Glocal Teen Hero “Pankha Fijai” was performed by the students of Gyanodaya Higher Secondary School.

Mr. Abdullah Tunccer Kececi gave a jury speech with congratulation note to the Glocal’s 20under20 and Top Six Finalist of 2019 and encouraged everyone to work for the betterment of the society. Later continued with the announcement of “Feri Uthne Cha Nepal” tittle to Mr. Bikram Parajuli as a winner and was certified by the Mr. Abhishek Singh (Country Head shares of Coca- Cola Nepal) and Mr. Asish Thakur (Executive Director of Glocal Pvt. Ltd.)

                                              

Remarks from Mr. Abhishek Singh followed with the Winner of GTH, 2019 Announcement. Mr. Samir Phuyal from Morang was announced as a Winner of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero, 2019.

The announcement was commenced in the presence of Honorable Chief Guest Mr. Yogesh Bhattarai (Minister for Cultural, Tourism and Civil Aviation), Mr. Nirvana Chaudhary (Managing Director, CG Corp Global), Mr. Abdullah Tuncer Kececi (General Manager of Turkish Airlines), Mr. G.P Singh (Deputy Chief Minister of Indian Embassy) and Mr. H.E Sh Al Naabi (Ambassador, UAE Embassy).

Further Mr. Nirvana Chaudhary gave the short remarks of GTH and followed a speech by Mr. Samir Phuyal Winner of Glocal Teen Hero, 2019. Honorable Chief Guest Mr. Yogesh Bhattarai gave short remarks and continued with closing remarks from Mrs. Kajol Jha Thakur.

At the end, the token of appreciation was presented to all our Partners, Sponsors, and Supporters and followed with the certification distribution to the volunteers.

Connecting Global Teens

 

Glocal International Teen Conference (GITC) is an amazing platform for the passionate teenagers from around the globe to share the insights, initiation, and perspectives to bring an impact on the society and respectively in the world.

It is an opportunity to address the issues and overcome the barriers by boosting the leadership, empowerment and social impact through a participatory and interactive environment with their peers from all over the globe. GITC works on three key issues are:

  1. Entrepreneurship
  2. Empowerment
  3. Socio- Perspective

The Glocal International Teen Conference, 2019 officially started with the Opening Remarks by Mr. Asish Thakur, (Executive Director, Glocal Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi (CEO of Nepal Tourism Board), Mr. Upal Majumdar (General Manager of Soaltee Crown Plaza) and Mr. H.E Sh Al Naabi (Ambassador of UAE Embassy).

The event was taken further by the opening of Socio Perspective Panel with a presentation by Ms. Prisma Pokharel and followed with the Panel discussion.

Presenter of Socio – Perspective Panel Ms. Pokharel shared the perception of the society and inputted her words on how society and living people can create something new believe to have a positive change in personal, society and respectively in a future generation. She highlighted the way of people thinking and how people actually express to society. Her presentation included the hierarchy of life from Child to adult.

Later continued with “Socio – Perspective Panel” soon after the presentation session. The panel discussion was moderated by Mr. Asish Thakur (Executive Director of Glocal Pvt ltd.) The panelist were; Mr. Prajesh Khanal,(Founder of ‘I consume My Oxygen’ Campaign from Nepal), Ms. Maodan Tohouri, (A 16 years Younger Social Activist from U.S), Ms. Prashansha K.C, ( A YouTuber and Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero of 2018.), Ms. Vidhi Kohli, (Passionate Social Activist from India) and Mr. Cavin Dennis Tito Siregar (Ambassador of IMUN and GYMUN from Indonesia).

 

The session highlighted the teenager’s role and contribution towards society. All the panel speakers shared their beautiful insights with their amazing work of social impact. The panel flashed the social challenges and the setting that are needed for the development.

At the end of the panel token of love was provided to Moderator, Panelist, and Presenter by Ms. Ranju Magar (Project Assistant of Glocal Pvt. Ltd).

 

Next, the second-panel “Entrepreneurship Panel” embarked with the presentation from Mr. Arkaprabho Ghosh. from India. He shared his inspirational entrepreneurship journey and motivated fellow teenagers to nurture entrepreneurial thinking. He highlighted the key points to the beginner entrepreneur before any startup. Additionally, the presentation included ways to be a successful entrepreneur.

Soon after the presentation the panel discussion started, where Mr. Asish Thakur moderated the session. The Panelist were; Mr. Iftekhar Ahmed (17-year-old “BRAILLE BOARD” inventor from Bangladesh) Mr. Swornim Shrestha (19 years Top 6 Finalist of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero, 2018 and Co-Founder and President of Tinybits Foundation).

The panel session highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship, Challenges, and opportunities of entrepreneurship and strategies to overcome those challenges, Funding, securing and growing ideas.

Lastly, The panel session wrapped with the token of love from Ms. Sushila Shrestha (Operations Manager of Glocal Pvt. Ltd) to the moderator, panelist, and presenter.

Further, the event continued with the presentation from Ms. Supekshya Neupane, where she discussed on “Mental Health Crisis Among Teens” focusing on mental issues that are mostly seen among teenagers like anxiety, depression, and suicide.

The “Empowerment Panel was moderated by Ms. Ranju Darshana (Youth Leader). The panelist were; Mr. Shardul Deshmukh (Undergraduate Engineer Student from India), MrIwo Adam Hachulski (Passionate Youth Activist from Poland), Mr. Vaibhav Nahata, (Motivational Speaker from Nepal), Ms. Jennie Ebihara (Founder and President of “Teens for Equality Japan” from Japan), Mr. Zafar Waseem (Social Activist from Pakistan).

The panel discussion highlighted the importance of empowerment and deployed the speaker’s stories. All the panelist shared their views on the importance of empowerment and motivated participants to work for the betterment of society.

Next, the token of love to the Moderator, Panelist, and Presenter was provided by Mr. Ajay Pandey (IT Manager of Glocal Pvt. Ltd) and followed with the mentorship session. The session raced with the guidelines from the mentors of the GITC Conference. It was an hour session which kicked with informal interaction with all the Participants, Speakers and Presenters. They shared their ideas, insights, and knowledge to learn something more about their interested fields, where they can develop and grow in their respective field from the mentor’s guidelines.

Lastly, the conference ended with the Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Kajol Jha Thakur (Associate Director of Glocal Pvt. Ltd.)
