Ms. Manushi Neupane, a 17-year-old from Kaligandaki, Syangja, now based in Kathmandu, is a passionate advocate for education and reproductive health. Overcoming a shy childhood and personal challenges, including her brother’s health struggles, she developed a strong sense of empathy and leadership. Through Pyari Periods, she contributes to Nepal’s first Comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health Curriculum. Her work with Smart Cheli and Engineers Without Borders Nepal empowers young girls in STEM.
She is a Creative/Research Fellow at Pyari Periods, developing inclusive content for Nepal’s pioneering Comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health Curriculum to challenge period stigma and promote open dialogue. She designs and leads design-thinking workshops for girls in STEM, in collaboration with Smart Cheli and Engineers Without Borders Nepal, fostering problem-solving and confidence in environmental solutions. As a leader in her school’s Arts and Literature Club and Terrace Talks, she creates platforms for youth to engage in creative and intellectual discussions, encouraging independent thinking and community connection. She is also a participant for the US exchange program ODYLP-Nepal STEM, 2024, and Opportunity Funds-2026, EducationUSA USEF-Nepal.

Her work with Pyari Periods has initiated vital conversations about reproductive health, breaking silence and stigma in Nepali communities. Her STEM workshops have empowered young girls, providing technical skills and confidence to pursue science and innovation, with participants feeling heard and capable in male-dominated fields. Through her leadership in school clubs and Terrace Talks, she has fostered environments where youth explore diverse ideas, enhancing critical thinking and collaboration.
