Mr.Oxford Acharya, a 15-year-old from rural Jumla, is a dynamic student activist and School Captain at Karnali Secondary School, where he also chairs the Youth Red Cross Circle. As the founder of the United Junior Red Cross Circle (UJRCC), he leads a network of over 2,000 students across Chandannath Municipality, driving clean-up campaigns, anti-littering drives, and dialogues with local officials to promote accountable governance. Nationally, he spearheads a proposal for a UN Youth Delegate Programme for Nepal, advocating for youth inclusion in global diplomacy. Affiliated with the Nepal Red Cross Society and UNFPA Nepal, Mr.Oxford is committed to empowering rural youth and transforming Nepal’s governance.

Mr.Oxford leads the UJRCC, uniting 2,000+ students for civic actions like street clean-ups, awareness campaigns, and formal meetings with municipal officials to address sanitation and transparency. As School Captain and Youth Red Cross Circle Chairman, he enhances school discipline, hygiene, and disaster preparedness. Nationally, he drives a 6,000-word policy proposal for a UN Youth Delegate Programme, collaborating with UNFPA Nepal and preparing to submit it to the National Youth Council and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to institutionalize youth representation in global forums.

Oxford Acharya has been selected as a “Glocal’s 20under20 of 2025 Batch” as an early change-maker throughout the nation. Glocal’s 20 under 20 is an umbrella title for 20 early change-makers, who are teenagers from diverse fields, stepping out to create an impact in the society.
