Terms of Reference - Model Glocal Teen Hero

In celebration of a decade of empowering teenagers through the Glocal Teen Hero Nepal platform, we are thrilled to share our vision of transforming this esteemed national platform into a global hub of connectivity and collaboration for teenagers worldwide. Driven by our unwavering commitment to fostering international dialogue and networking opportunities for the Teens, we are delighted to introduce the Model Glocal Teen Hero initiative on this auspicious occasion of the 10th edition of Glocal Teen Hero Nepal. 

 Model Glocal Teen Hero, visionary initiative that profoundly provides a Platform for Teenagers to navigate the intersection of global knowledge and local domains with their extraordinary skills to catalyze positive change. The initiative acknowledges the teenager’s initiation, creativity, and enthusiasm as a means of empowerment. This platform is specifically designed to honor the teenagers who are actively contributing to societal impact beyond their academic pursuits, fostering a ripple effect of positive change.


Through Model Glocal Teen Hero, we are establishing a global community of change makers who are dedicated to effecting positive change and making a meaningful impact in their respective communities and beyond. This endeavour seeks to bring together young leaders from diverse backgrounds and cultures, fostering collaboration, innovation, and the exchange of ideas. 

 This is the sole reason why Glocal Pvt. Ltd., Nepal has taken this initiative to provide them the stage where they get the opportunity to share their initiation, creativity, and enthusiasm which will, then motivate them and more of the other teenagers in our country to develop an entrepreneurial thinking. Always confused by nature, teenagers aspire to take steps to follow their hearts and dreams.

Registration: Initially, educational institutions are required to register themselves via the Model Glocal Teen Hero website. They must complete a form and register to gain access to the necessary documents needed to facilitate Model Glocal Teen Hero events in their respective schools or colleges, globally.

 

Main Phases of the Event

1. Application announcement within Schools and Colleges

Model Glocal Teen Hero at [School Name]  application will be called in the first phase for teenagers. The application can only be filled by teenagers (13-19 yrs). Application forms can be filled out online or offline without any application charges. The company will provide the Application Format. 

The duration of application shall be 1 month in maximum and the Winner of Model Glocal Teen Hero at [School Name] must be announced within the month of July 25 of Every Year. The selection criteria are as follows:

To the residents of the nation (having government issued ID card i.e. Birth Certificate/Citizenship)

Has to be 13-19 years old.

Have initiated, involved, or achieved in any field besides academics. 

 

Jury Members Criteria

The composition of the jury panel should be determined by the school committee, which should consist of a minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 5.  The jury will comprise representatives from the School Committee, industrial sector, government officials and local authorities who hold the power to positively influence the Teenagers. The Jury panel must sign the evaluation sheet/Judgment Sheet. 

 

(Note: The signed Evaluation sheet needs to be submitted while nominating the winner.)

 

First Phase Selection

After the application call, the top six will be selected looking over their work Innovation , Impact, and Achievement. The top 6 finalists shall be announced within 15 days of the Deadline of application. The selection would be based on the resume, and the evidence provided during the application form and marked on the following basis.

Final Phase Selection – Winner 

The six finalists will be interviewed by the jury about their application and judged based on the following criteria:

Note: The selection process will identify the Winner based on the scores assigned by the jury. These scores will be determined by allocating 50% of the total marks awarded by each jury member to the applicant + the 50% score obtained during Top Six. 

 

The highest score will be awarded as the Model Glocal Teen Hero at [Your Educational Institution]. 


The awarding should be conducted autonomously by the schools/colleges in the presence of the students, the school committee, and other guests by July 25 of Every Year..

 

Logo and Design 

The logo of Model Glocal Teen Hero should be standard in all Schools. The promotional designs, and banners have to be designed in the same format as our Branding Guidelines. 

 

Note: Professionally crafted templates for the Application Announcement, Top Six Selection, Winner Announcement, and certificate processes are shown for your reference on Branding Guidelines. 

 

No other Branding and Communication designs shall be used for the purpose of Model Glocal Teen Hero other than that of as mentioned on Branding Guidelines. 


Event Day Format

The Final Day event should be carried on as follows:

1. Award Function comprising:

a. Introducing the Finalists

b. Introduction to the Process of Competition

c. Jury Introduction

d. Winner Announcement and certification 

Provisions

  • Educational institutions have the option to onboard partners (sponsors) to facilitate the execution of the Model Glocal Teen Hero initiative.

  • The Educational Institution can promote these partners while preserving the brand integrity of Model Glocal Teen Hero.

  • Any support received, whether financial or otherwise, can be utilized by the educational institution.


Note: There should be no Monetary Reward to the finalists or the winner. Participants at any level are not paid. And, also there shall be no financial transaction between your school and Glocal Private Limited Nepal. 


Nomination

 The Educational Institution shall officially nominate the winner of the Model Glocal Teen Hero at [Educational Institution] award via the website by the deadline of August 03 annually.
