Her Journey

Reet started her professional journey as an educator right after her completion of SEE. She has been fond of teaching from a very young age. During her school days, she used to teach her classmates different subjects by studying the matter by herself first. Her friends used to appreciate her teaching methodology and claimed that it was more understandable and enjoyable. Those positive feedbacks motivated her to follow her passion for teaching. Her own personal interests took her into the professional journey. Now, she has been working in the teaching sector for more than two-and-a-half years.

She has worked as the youngest teacher in CG affiliated school. While working there, she has gone through several challenges and seen various aspects relating to the profession. But later she was able to incorporate herself in that environment. While educating students, She has used different methods to teach students.

She has been involved in different NGOs and has been working as an Executive Member at Youth for Environment, as a Treasurer at Living with Environment, Kathmandu, IYS Country Coordinator at WSDA, Outreach Volunteer at Global Changemakers, and as a Council Member at Nepal Teen Leaders. Similarly, She also has been organizing and participating in different workshops relating to environmental awareness, and so on. She has given various classes on Menstrual Independence Class for small girls.

In addition, She wants to develop her skill set in the field of teaching. Even though she is optimistic about Nepal’s education scenario, she wants to develop the modern teaching methodology of Nepal, especially in rural areas. She would also like to get into global teachers and learn different things about teaching.
