The world is dynamic. It keeps on changing. Exploring through a young teen is something very interesting, mysterious and unbelievable. So, teenagers should develop skills to do something new. And as we all know, young teenagers have more energy. It should be used for good purposes. As they look to the future with hope and confidence they can discharge any hard stone in favor of the nation. 

Every teenager has a dream of doing something productive to bring an impact on society and can spread positivity in the nation. If the teen is able to find his/her skill and the field of interest and their plans to move forward in that direction then he/she can contribute a lot to the society. 

Let’s talk about the early change-maker teenagers. These are the ‘Teen Role Models’ from diverse fields stepping out to take up an action and whose work proves that Age is Just a Number!

Abhishek Karna: A young Technopreneur 

Mr. Abhishek Karna (Glocal’s 20under20) along with his team has initiated a course for students to make students understand fluid mechanics in an interactive and friendly environment. The course was in association with the Global Sustainable Research and Development Center. The course was launched from his own organization called “Ecstatic Paradox”.

Amit Timalsina: An Aspiring Technopreneur

Mr. Amit Timalsina (Glocal’s 20under20) and his YSC – Young Scientists Community team has received an award for the Goodleaf projects.

 It is a global platform for farmers to come together and help each other. It aims to coordinate with various agricultural experts around the world, allowing free consultation services to farmers by experts, providing quick, efficient, and effective services to the farmers. This project can help combat this problem and ultimately improve agriculture globally.

 A small gathering to rejoice and celebrate the moment!

 The winner announcement was done virtually for the year 2020 due to COVID 19. To provide her an award and celebrate her moment; Glocal Pvt. Ltd. set up an interaction meet up with the Glocal team and Winner Ms. Mandira Shrestha.

Ms. Mandira Shrestha is a 19-year-old Health Activist from Ramechhap and actively involved as a member of the Integrated National Adolescent Girls Forum, also a core member of Girls in Education, facilitator of Tri-Padma Child Club, a community volunteer, and trainer in the SRHR field working with the target group of children, adolescents, youths, women, and LGBTIQ++.

Champion in Making

Mr. Vaibhav Nahata (Finalist of GTH – Nepal, 2020) was invited as one of the speakers on the International platform to inspire teenagers in the USA to become champions.

Ms. Namrata Dahal (Glocal’s 20under20) celebrated her birthday in a unique way!

She has initiated a small campaign from a community-level child club. Through this campaign; she has motivated more than 40 children to plant a tree on their birthday. Later, In her coordination with Damak Municipal Child Network and the Environmental branch of Damak Municipality; They had distributed 600 plants to different 21 schools of Damak and coordinated with the child club of that certain school to provide plants for planting on the birthday of every member of the club.

Sanif Kandel: A Dynamic Youth Activist

Global Peace Institute – GPI has appointed Mr. Sanif Kandel (Glocal’s 20under20) of Nepal as a Youth Ambassador based on his excellence and making a positive change in his community.

He has also facilitated a different Movers Workshop Nationally and Internationally to aware the youths on Sustainable Development Goals. Apart from that; He is also executing his own project called ‘Pocket, My First Dustbin’ with the aim to aware young people about proper waste management and a clean environment and to help them make a behavioral change to decrease the rampant plastic pollution.

Similarly, Mr. Ekraj Ghimire (Finalist of GTH – Nepal, 2020) presenting an IOT device success project at Skill Hackathon, 2021.

 During the COVID-19 outbreak, when students were struggling to attend classes and were inaccessible to text-books, Mr. Laxman Poudel (Glocal’s 20under20) has developed and released an Educational mobile app named –“NEB ENGLISH” which helped student continue their study.

Teenagers has shown their ability and has proved they can be change-makers through their amazing works. These were the impactful teenagers who started early eventually becoming the game changers who defied the stereotype of society that teenagers are impractical and their ideas are naive just like them.
