A Tech Educator Mr. Bikram Parajuli is a high school graduate in Science stream and currently working on a number of projects revolving around STEAM education and digital literacy. Bikram is one of the top six finalists of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero, 2019. He has founded “The Nepalions” in 2017 as a community of teens to create a platform for youths to come forth to contribute to society.
Currently Mr. Parajuli is working to build Nepali modules content according to the curriculum of Nepal which will provide a solution for e-library with enough content to help students study and communities to solve basic problems. On the other hand, he is also running Critical Thinkers’ Club which organizes a peer-to-peer discussion on various topics.
Through Nepolians, he has organized a 3-month-long program on Arduino, IoT, and robotics in Bal Mandir Secondary School. He is a maker mentor at Karkhana and delivering free Creative Computing Course for local youth. He has also taken a number of
classes in both community and private schools on robotics, electronics, 3D animation, game design and paper engineering.
Additionally, His latest ongoing process to build and deploy a cheap and solar-powered local server that can provide access to Wikipedia, Medical Encyclopedias, dictionaries, Wiki How and many more. Bikram has also been actively working with American corner from where he teaches young teenagers on Robotics.
He was able to initiate chain reaction among students through his program, where students themselves have created a club in their school to conduct activities related to robotics and IoT and has started to run classes by themselves to teach their juniors.
Mr. Bikram Parajuli has been selected as one of the top six finalists of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero, 2019. His uniqueness to provide chain impact among students will definitely leads students to boost their personal growth in technical field.
Bikram aspires to open his own startup company in future. He wants to create a social business that creates a lot of jobs while helping communities march ahead. Besides that, he wants to be involved in various non-profit projects to help build Nepal into a center for technology.
