Aadesh Regmi is an 18-year-old social activist dedicated to improving education and fostering innovation in Nepal. His journey is marked by a deep curiosity that fuels his drive to research and understand a wide range of topics. He thrives in collaborative settings, valuing diverse perspectives to uncover innovative solutions. With a competitive spirit honed by his sports background, Aadesh is ambitious, though he acknowledges his challenges, such as being overly self-critical and occasionally struggling to connect with those who have different ambitions.

His Work

Aadesh is the co-founder of LearnEd, a team committed to enhancing education in rural Nepal, where a lack of teachers often hinders student learning. LearnEd volunteers in government schools, providing much-needed support, and raising awareness through presentations and social media. In addition to his work with LearnEd, Aadesh co-founded Ekaiva, a tech startup that recently won the 51 Best Startup Ideas program. Ekaiva’s first project, Sangam, is a social media platform designed to connect strategic investors, regular investors, donors, mentors, and entrepreneurs. This platform aims to support and sustain Nepal’s growing startup culture by facilitating broad investor inclusion, donation options for startups, and mentorship opportunities.

Impact

Through his work with LearnEd, Aadesh has made a significant impact in seven districts, reaching over 700 students. He has provided tutoring in subjects like yoga, dance, and computer science at various government schools, supported curriculum development, and facilitated donations. His efforts also include founding a STEM club and assisting underprivileged children with basic education and creative activities. Aadesh has led presentations on cybercrime and cultural heritage, enhancing student awareness. His contributions were recognized when he became a finalist in the Crimson 18 Under 18 program.

Through Ekaiva’s project Sangam, Aadesh is working to improve Nepal’s startup ecosystem by connecting investors, donors, and mentors with emerging entrepreneurs. This platform fosters innovation and supports sustainable business growth, playing a crucial role in the development of Nepal’s startup culture.
