About Glocal Teen Hero Bhutan

Glocal Teen Hero Bhutan is part of the regional Glocal Teen Hero South Asia initiative that recognizes extraordinary teenagers making a difference in their communities. The platform celebrates young individuals who demonstrate leadership, creativity, and social responsibility beyond academics. Teenagers are not just the leaders of tomorrow - they are the changemakers of today.

The national winner will represent Bhutan at the Glocal Teen Hero South Asia 2026 Regional Ceremony hosted in Nepal.

Ms. Ugyen Tsheden Tobgay

Glocal Teen Hero Bhutan 2026

Ugyen Tsheden Tobgay is a young advocate, volunteer, public speaker, and changemaker from Bhutan who has been involved in youth engagement and community service since the age of 10. His work spans environmental sustainability, youth participation, women’s rights, child protection, and inclusive education, with experience on both national and international platforms.

As a member of Youth Volunteers in Action (Y-VIA) and the Young People’s Action Team (YPAT), Ugyen contributes to environmental campaigns, youth advocacy, and initiatives supporting adolescent girls and children. He also supports students with Special Educational Needs and was recognized as the National English Topper in 2025.

As Glocal Teen Hero Bhutan 2026, Ugyen represents the power of young voices rooted in service and compassion. He hopes to continue advancing youth empowerment, education, human rights, and sustainable development in Bhutan and beyond.
