From a Malaysian rainforest to Nepal’s mountain roads

Three months in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in Malaysia, working alongside primatologists to protect endangered langurs, changed how Aashutosh sees infrastructure back home. He’s now researching “canopy bridges” and “Green Roads” — practical, low-cost ways to stop Nepal’s rural road-building from triggering landslides and cutting wildlife off from their habitat — and pushing for both to be adopted at scale.
