Redesigning the doko so women’s bodies don’t pay the price.
Nepal’s informal women laborers carry loads on their backs and necks every day using the traditional doko basket — often at real long-term cost to their spines. Abhigya’s ergonomic harness kit, built with physiotherapists and tested directly with the women who’ll use it, is designed to shift up to half that weight onto the hips instead. Her first full training workshop reached 15 women in Changunarayan Municipality.
