Vivaan Kabir is a 17 years old Youth Activist from Mumbai. He is extremely passionate about politics, International relations, and sustainability for all. He has been awarded the title of “Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero India 2020”.

Vivaan has founded the South Asian Youth X- Change with the vision of beginning a journey for those in ‘Generation Z’. SAY- X is the first multilateral youth e-summit connecting student leaders from 8 countries on vital issues like peace, sustainability, education, and more. The unpredictability with which the youth today lives in regards to their future is what pushes and inspires Vivaan. He strongly feels the need to act upon being told ‘you need to make the change’. Along with his highly talented Organising Committee, Vivaan is proud to lead and launch SAY-X to all.

He spent his time working to promote youth leadership, sustainability & cross-border cooperation through his organization; SAY-X, working with the UN Young Changemakers Conclave to connect the youth from 8 nations all over South Asia. He strongly believes that development through sustainable virtues is our ticket to a more prosperous future, and such a movement starts at all levels.

Vivaan is also the Vice President of the UN Young Changemakers Conclave, which inspires change through thought in Indian changemakers. He has also worked to bring political awareness to a younger demographic by taking part in and organizing over 15 Model UN conferences like Harvard Model UN2019, and OISMUN 2020, of which he is the Secretary-General. He has also taken up multiple research opportunities in the past, authoring an extensive research paper, and interning with the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies.

His journey with politics and social activism started at a young age. He grew up in a family that has always discussed news, politics, and social issues around us not only in our country but in the world. This upbringing made him prioritize politics. He started reading about politics and forming his own opinion. He started to assume leadership positions in debate conferences and initiatives, and the more he debated, the more he was motivated to know more about politics. After that, he only started to take a tangible stand in the realm of activism with the foundation of his organization South Asian Youth -X, because he wanted to materialize his passion for international relations and politics. Being a youth activist, he is doing his best to bring together the South Asian youth community.
