Mr. Reyan Kumar Sapkota is a 19-year-old Social Entrepreneur from Bhaktapur. He is an exceptionally perceptive and unprejudiced teen who grew up recognizing billions of problems and trillions of solutions in his environment.
He completed his +2 from St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar. He received the Pashupati Pratap Shah Memorial Outstanding Student Award (2018), Fr. James J Donelly Memorial Award (2016), Gold Medalist at SET Exhibition (2020), Nationwide Young Innovator Award by LOCUS for his application-based projects – Knock Pattern Door Lock and Simulated Housing (2020), Outstanding Student Award by PEA (2021), and many other awards during his time at school.
He opted to work on a project for the Science Fair when he was in school, but he didn’t have a good team. As a result, he found it nearly impossible to lead an exceptional team of dedicated individuals in a short amount of time. Reyan found some talented persons that could keep up with him and build something magnificent after a lot of research and support. At Pulchowk Campus, he and his team won the SET Exhibition 2020 and the National Technological Festival. He learned that nothing substantial could be accomplished without the help of a fantastic group of motivated and like-minded individuals. He vowed himself after winning the competition that he would invent something so that others would not have to endure as he had. That’s when the concept for NECSA emerged.
Now, He is a founder and board member at Nepal Computer Science Alliance – a student-led NGO that serves the uncharted youth-based tech industry in Nepal. Likewise, he has also founded a company called “BooksGasm Nepal” with his peers and seniors who are pursuing Chartered Accountancy. Through this, he is providing second-hand used books and notes for buyers and sellers.
In the crucial moment of his life, he resolved to devote himself to creating something bigger than himself. He also formed the Pulchowk Chess Club. In addition, he is a dedicated writer. He is excited to join Share Sansar as a Financial Editor and Writer. He writes about finance, technology, politics, spirituality, and a variety of other issues.
Apart from that; He is working as an Academic Coordinator at Clamphook Pvt Ltd (An online IOE Preparation class), where he facilitates the classes for over 500 IOE aspirants. Through social media platforms, they try to explain some tough concepts through memes as well. In terms of memory retention and conceptualization, memes have been shown to be beneficial. All applicants from Nepal have benefited directly from the resources, which have over 15k Facebook page followers and 1 lakh monthly views.
Similarly, he is a trader at NEPSE, with a portfolio valuation of over Rs. 800000. Alongside, he is a technology enthusiast and has been working on an individual research project on “Blockchain and its prospects inside Nepal.” He has influenced millions of people and thousands of students. Through his inspiring effort, he has improved the efficiency with which educational materials are accessible. He is assisting in the delivery of high-quality education and the development of young minds through knowledge and experiences.
In the future, he will continue to do what is needed, which is to contribute to Nepal’s young and vulnerable IT industry, with the same intensity of unprejudiced involvement. He would like to set an example for many other young minds with the same enthusiasm that he has today.
