Mr. Vivaan Kabir, the 17-year-old Youth Activist from Mumbai, founded an advocacy group South Asian Youth X-Change with the vision to break diplomatic barriers for the next generation and redefine our future. SAY- X is the first multilateral youth e-summit connecting student leaders from 8 countries on vital issues like peace, sustainability, education, and more.

Through his organization, SAY-X, he spent his time working to promote youth leadership, sustainability, and cross-border cooperation, collaborating with the UN Young Changemakers Conclave to connect youth from eight countries across South Asia. He is convinced that sustainable development is the key to a prosperous future and that such a movement must begin at all levels.

His journey in politics and social activism started at a young age. He grew up in a family that was always talking about the news, politics, and social issues that were going on in the world. This upbringing made him prioritise politics. He started to enjoy political discourse, particularly debate, as he grew older, began reading about politics, and started forming his own opinions. Vivaan began to take on leadership roles in debate conferences and initiatives, and the more he debated, the more motivated he became to learn more about politics. With the founding of his organization SAY- X, he began to take a visible stand in the realm of activism because he wanted to materialize his passion for international relations and politics. Being a youth activist, he is doing his best to bring together the South Asian youth community.

He has started bridging these opportunities and intellectual connections between the South Asian youth community. It has been the most inspiring reward for him. He is enthralled by politics, international relations, and sustainability for all. Vivaan is an emerging leader who is driven by a desire to make a positive impact on society. Every action he has taken has always resulted in better results. He was awarded as Glocal Teen Hero – India for his great contribution in society for the year 2020.

Vivaan is also the Vice President of the United Nations Young Changemakers Conclave, which encourages Indian changemakers to think differently. He has also worked to raise political awareness among a younger generation by participating in and organizing over 15 Model UN conferences, including Harvard Model UN2019 and OISMUN 2020, of which he is the Secretary-General. In the past, he has participated in a variety of research projects, including writing an extensive research paper and interning at the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies.
