Ms. Dikshya Bharati is an 18-year-old health activist who works to make a change and learn through the process. At the age of 13, she joined Nepal Scouts and has been volunteering in different programs. She has also done different plantation programs and littering control. Her motto is “To make this earth a better place whoever lives in it”.
Her Work,
Currently, she is working on gender equality, sexual and reproductive health. As an SRHR session facilitator in Sindhuli District, she successfully designed and led sessions on sexual and reproductive health and rights. She demonstrated her commitment to promoting sexual and reproductive rights. She provided them with valuable information and resources to help them take charge of their health and well-being. Along with, exceptional leadership and communication skills, creating a safe and inclusive space for individuals to learn and grow. In collaboration with We for Change, Youth Hub, and Plan Internationally. She has conducted sessions on cyber security focused on equipping children with the knowledge and skills to ensure their safety while using the internet. She also facilitated an SRHR session in Patan Multiple Campus for first-year bachelor students. And, was able to organize and lead a sexual and reproductive health session at Patan Multiple Campus for first-year bachelor students. In collaboration with “We for Change” Further, facilitated a session on cervical cancer for the women of Nallu Lalitpur.
Also, she is a member of the European Union Youth Sounding Board and a member of Cohort 3 in Global Peace Foundation Nepal.
Impact,
By providing valuable guidance on navigating online spaces securely, she has positively influenced the children of Asha boarding school Anamnagar, on digital behavior and empowered them to make informed choices in the digital realm. Her efforts have undoubtedly made a significant and positive impact on their online experiences, fostering a safer and more responsible internet community for the younger generation. Her initiative to raise awareness highlights her commitment to making a difference in the lives of women and promoting a healthier community. And, potentially saving lives through early detection and prevention. She hopes her efforts have undoubtedly left a lasting and positive impression on the community.
