Mr. Om Prakash Wasti is a 17-year-old dedicated Social Activist from Kailali. 

From grade 8; He has been actively working in the social sector and motivating young minds to take action against social issues.  He has been interested in public speaking since he was a child, and he has had the opportunity to represent the school in out-of-school activities, as well as the numerous societal issues that are tackled in such programs and their influence.

During COVID 19 – He has started his own Animal Husbandry to motivate youths in agriculture. Besides, he is also a news and article Writer at firewoods.com. He is also a member of Ghodaghodi Nagar Stariya Bal Sanjal. In addition, As a National Member and Kailali Secretary at “Naya Yuwa Naya Soch,” Om Prakash has been organizing different programs for youths to develop their personal growth. Apart from that; Om Prakash has already worked as Bal Pratibha presenter at Radio Ghodaghodi FM and Bal Sarokar presenter at Radio Kailali.

His different programs/actions has inspired fellow teenagers in his community to act for a positive change and has developed the leadership among them. In his leadership; many awareness campaign has been conducted which has definitely awared and provided knowledge on different social issues. 

In the future, he would like to study law and be a voice of people in different social issues. 

Om Prakash Wasti has been selected as a “Glocal’s 20under20 of 2021 Batch” as an early change-maker throughout the nation. Glocal’s 20 under 20 is an umbrella title for 20 early change-makers, who are teenagers from diverse fields, stepping out to create an impact in the society.
