Ms.Sabhya Rai is a 19- years old Passionate Education Activist from Illam.
She is an inquisitive student who is also an outspoken advocate for education, a compassionate figure, a motivator, and an egalitarian. She has always believed in the power of hard work since she was a child. She has a strong desire to speak for the voiceless, to personify the underprivileged, and to fight for the oppressed. She is constantly striving to break down societal preconceptions and bring about required adjustments in norms and actions.
She also believes in the power of writing. In high school, she also won the “Essay competition” and had one of her poems published in a college magazine. She enjoys writing her goals and creating personal schedules in her life, among other things, because she believes that having written goals helps us stay focused and avoid procrastination.
She has been working in the sector of education and children. She has initiated a project called “Education for all-Keep learning, Keep growing”, which aims to foster the significance of education and also contribute towards the eradication of unwanted social beliefs. She also scheduled appropriate workshops on the benefits of good education. Aside from that, she organized a variety of cultural programs, art and craft workshops and competitions, calligraphy competitions, essay writing competitions, sports competitions, and other activities to help students express their creative potential. For this project, she has received a Certificate of Recognition; in the field of social service.
During Pandemic; She has established a clean and spacious classroom in her house to educate children of her community. Till now more than 10 children have been benefited from her open classroom. Timely, She also conducts seminars on the importance of quality education where she invites not only the guardians of her students but also other community people. Apart from that, she loves reading, writing, singing, painting, and dancing.
Her efforts have resulted in beneficial improvements and progress in her community. Through her activities, she was able to persuade people of the value of receiving a good education.
Sabhya is a passionate believer who believes in the power of dreams, visualizes goals, and works hard to attain them. In the future, she sees herself as a hardworking lady who wants to help people grow and learn at all stages of their lives.
Sabhya Rai has been selected as a “Glocal’s 20under20 of 2021 Batch” as an early change-maker throughout the nation. Glocal’s 20 under 20 is an umbrella title for 20 early change-makers, who are teenagers from diverse fields, stepping out to create an impact in the society.
