Mr. Shubham Jha is an 18-year-old Aspiring Filmmaker from Mahottari.
It has been approximately ten years since he began his filmmaking journey, and now is the time for him to explore his talents. He started to make films and incorporated some of his own perspectives into his story.
Subham has initiated a video series like ‘ELi5’ (Explain like I am five) which focuses on explaining complex mathematical concepts in an easy way. Now, he is working on incorporating VR into the videos to help people visualize the concepts more clearly. Also, he has started a group called ‘Sessions’; which aims to make it a hub for skilled people from all over Nepal. He has the vision to create such an impactful group that people don’t need to go over searching for skilled people. His ‘sessions’ have begun to have an impact on the worldwide market, bringing people’s big ideas to life.
Aside from that, as a filmmaker, he has created a short movie on the detrimental effects of wearing a face mask on the environment. The key message he was attempting to convey through the short film was to be mindful of the negative consequences of a useful thing. People in his locality started wearing masks after he made a short film ‘ Carrier’. Now, He is running Shubham Jha Vines freelance film production. Till now; he has directed and edited 24 short films.
Shubham Jha has initiated, designed, and developed two mobile applications; Drishti Nepal for blind & Kisan Nepal for farmers. Through “Kisan Nepal” he is providing real-time agricultural news and notices to farmers. He has persuaded farmers to adopt contemporary technology for their benefit with his “Kisan Nepal” mobile app. His project has been recognized by the National Innovation Center.
Currently, He is serving as IT and Media Department head at Mathematics Initiatives in Nepal. He leads a team of 10 graphic designers, video editors to create posts and videos that help to expand the knowledge of Mathematics all over Nepal.
As a Co-mentor in Incubate Nepal; He is leading a team of 5 people who will be working on creating a public art map for Nepal that aims to expose people to the hidden art of Nepal, ranging from Mithila Arts to Murals. Through his initiation; the young people have got an opportunity to learn about technology and have created a positive mindset in those people regarding their own abilities.
In the future, He wants to be a successful Entrepreneur or filmmaker and help people with the proper skill set that they require to thrive in this challenging world. His greatest ambition is to start a renaissance in Nepal.
