Glocal Teen Hero is a platform that is exclusively for the teenagers that recognize their initiation, creativity and enthusiasm so as to empower them. It is a fully funded program exclusively for Sri Lankan Teenagers. It is an initiation of Glocal Pvt. Ltd. Nepal, a business enterprise working in the areas of education, entrepreneurship and skilling. It is an award night dedicated to the passionate and innovative teenagers who are also working to create a ripple effect in the society besides academics.
The overall purpose of this program is to motivate and encourage teenagers to step out of their comfort zone, be creative and nurture entrepreneurial thinking. It also acts out as a great platform for them to network with delegates from various industries in Sri Lanka.
It is an opportunity of life time, not only to the winner, but all the applicants, finalists and other teenagers to develop themselves through networking, collaboration and pooling of opportunities.

CONGRATULATIONS.
The Winner for the Glocal Teen Hero Sri Lanka for the Year 2022 is Mr. Risanga Dinsara Bandara Abeygunasekara. He is a 17 years old Activist from Kandy, Sri Lanka.
He is an entrepreneur, an innovator, an artist, an activist, a problem solver, and an influencer. He is interested in social work and cinematography to bring those two together to build a more impactful industry in entertaining as well as serving the community.
He designed a program to increase awareness about disability in a community where he has brought together about 50+ differently-abled youth and people from different professions to learn through observation, interaction, and empathy. He also build a team from countries representing India, Egypt, Sri Lanka, and Germany, and was the project head where he and the team designed a device for deaf-blind people to access quality education and communication.
